Catholic Charities began in Schenectady County more than 75 years ago.  While the specific programs and services have changed, the commitment has not.  Catholic Charities  remains committed to offering people in need-our brothers and sisters-a respectful helping hand, a kind and caring word, and hope for tomorrow.

Catholic Charities Senior & Caregiver Support Services (CCSCSS) provides a range of services to support quality of life for seniors.  The services include – Aging Services Information & Assistance, Health Insurance Information Counseling & Assistance Program (HIICAP), Dayhaven Social Adult Day Care, Transportation Services, Nutrition Outreach and Education Program (NOEP), Senior Nutrition Programs including Meals on Wheels and Congregate Dining sites, and Caregiver Support Services.

Our goal is to provide you with a continuum of services to help support a happy and healthy life.  We care about the needs of seniors in the community, and strive to offer quality services that meet those needs…and more!

Catholic Charities Senior & Caregiver Support Services programs are funded through donations, fundraising, private grants, and through the Schenectady County Department of Senior and Long Term Care Services, Albany County Department for Aging, Rensselaer County Unified Family Services, New York State Office of the Aging (NYSOFA), the Federal Administration on Aging, and the United Way of the Capital Region.
